FIRST AID IN THE SLOPES

FIRST AID IS ALWAYS ON STANDBY, WHEN LIFTS ARE IN OPERATION

First Aid is available always when lifts and slopes are in operation. You can contact the first aid through our staff anywhere in the area. Volunteers equipped with Ski Patrol and Rinnepartio labels also help and guide when needed.

In the Western Slopes the actual first aid stands are located nearby to the lifts 11-12 (red maintain building) and in the northern slopes dearby the station of the lifts 2-3. The first aid has no duty times: the first aid personnel patrols in the slope area, where ever they are needed..

If the patient need further care, he/she will be taken to the Jämsä Hospital’s First Aid.

Please make sure you have your passport and insurance certification with you when you are taken into care (or that somebody can easily pick these documents up for you).

A general emergency number in Finland is 112

IN EMERGENCY SITUATIONS IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU HELP QUICKLY AND CALMLY:

  • Remain calm and examine the situation or the injured person
  • If the injured person is capable of walking, guide him/her to the first aid stand
  • Call for help if needed
  • Prevent further accidents (e.g. close the point of the ramp)
  • If necessary call an ambulance in 112
